Review: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint πŸ‘ πŸ‘Ž

I’ve been really into anything with hyaluronic acid in. It’s supposed to help plump up your skin and when I found this at CVS I had to try it. I’ve never actually tried any Neutrogena make up before so it was a TRUE first impression.

It’s been almost 3 weeks since I’ve used it and here is what I think of it…

C9923961-0064-4C55-8CC3-2A8BDDC78EADMy shade: classic ivory

First impressions….

  • I rather have a pump than this big doe foot wand.
  • I feel like I have to dip in like 2-3x before I can full cover my entire face and it doesn’t feel TOO sanitary in my opinion..
  • Super light weight
  • Doesn’t oxidize
  • Not a lot of color selection (only 10 shades)

What it claims…

  • It claims to moisturize and plumps up your skin for 24 hours.
  • It supposed to improve your skin suppleness over time.
  • Oil free.
  • Doesn’t settle into fine lines.

I haven’t used the foundation for 24 hours so I’m not sure if that claim is legit but I have used the foundation for over 10 hours and it does NOT budge. Because of the plumping effect from the hyaluronic acid I think fine lines aren’t as visible. Although, I feel like under my eyes I see a little bit of lines. Nothing too bad. It doesn’t cake up and it’s light coverage. I’m not sure if I would say it’s THAT buildable (this isn’t a foundation, it’s a tint) but I usually go in with a concealer if I need more coverage that day.

Oh, so I wore this to smorgasbord in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 90 degrees weather with like 1000% humidity and it was still INTACT. wut? I blotted with a blotting sheet 2x in 6 hours and it looked pretty good. For reference, I had powered with translucent powder and set it with setting spray before I left the house. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This is for people who don’t need or want a lot of coverage, light weight for everyday wear. Especially in the summer, you won’t be sweating it off and looking like a hot mess. If you have active acne or acne scars I would try to use this as a base for your foundation since it plumps up your face, it could help with evening out your skin texture.

Final thoughts…

I really like this tint. It evens out my redness, minimizes the look of pores and it doesn’t move after a long day’s wear (6-10 hrs). I have found my new summer foundation! wheee!Β  πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

    1. You know I was like so paranoid about spelling that word wrong and I still did LOL! Thanks for catching, I’ll have to fix it! This was kind of a emergency purchase since my normal foundation ran out and I really like it! It’s so light its perfect for the summer! Thanks for reading! πŸ™‚
